Joel Souza Old Vines Wine Bar

Born in Portsmouth, NH and now a resident of Kennebunk, Joel graduated from New England Culinary Institute and gained experience at several New England restaurants. In 2011, he was appointed the youngest ever sous chef at the stalwart Colonial Inn in Concord, MA.

Joel is a passionate teacher and mentor. As beverage director at David’s KPT and sister facility, Table, Joel oversaw all beverage operations and hosted many mixology classes and special events.

Chef Joel Souza of  Old Vines Wine Bar, has created a menu that is locally sourced and wonderfully prepared. His seasonal tapas style plates and charcuterie boards are a consummate favorite of Kennebunkers.  Old Vines is known for its stellar service, hand crafted cocktails and spectacular wine list. The Art of Dining series: Intimate dinners that take place on Tuesday and Wednesday of the festival. Multi-course meals are designed and prepared by top chefs in private homes and locations around Kennebunkport. Joel Souza, of Old Vines Wine Bar, is the featured chef at this dinner on Tuesday evening, June 5. This dinner showcases work by artist Claire Bigbee, who is represented by Art Collector Maine.
