Eloise Humphrey had her training in the restaurants of NYC in the 1980’s; working with Jonathan Waxman at Jams and Brendan Walsh at Arizona 206. After a move to San Francisco in 1989, Eloise worked for Paula LeDuc Catering as an on-sight chef where she cooked for political dignitaries, (including President Clinton) tech-boom CEOs and movie moguls. Eloise and her business partners opened Kate’s Kitchen in San Francisco, a popular breakfast and lunch restaurant that received 3 out of 4 stars in the SF Chronicle, which is still running just as it was when they sold it over 20 years ago.
Eloise has always maintained that good, healthy thoughtfully prepared food should be available to everyone-not just the wealthy. After a move to Maine in 1999, Eloise opened El Camino ( 2004-present), Flipside Pizza ( 2010-2013), and now Salt Pine Social (2016-present), they are the result of her years of training combined with her moral ideals. Her sister, Daphne, and brother-in-law, Paul, are her business partners and right and left hands!
