Ali Waks Adams The Brunswick Inn

A native New Yorker, Ali moved to Brunswick, Maine 3 years ago from Philadelphia. Her NYC career began on the Theater then morphed into a career in Special Events, once she realized that she enjoyed being paid to work. In Philadelphia, she was a fixture in the restaurant world. A prolific cook though relative late comer to position of Chef, Ali owned a farm to table restaurant in the early 2000s, worked various front of the house and back of the house positions, ran small restaurant PR and marketing company, and, finally heeded the siren call of the stove, attending culinary school after 10 years in the biz.  Since moving to Maine she has reveled in the quality and abundance of the local food scene. In addition to catering a multitude of events at The Inn, Ali can be found behind the stove Tuesday evenings at Plats Du Jour, The Brunswick Inn’s increasing popular prix fixe dinner program. Plats Du Jour three course dinners are open to public and feature local, seasonal foods.

Ali is the Producer and Chef/Partner of Butter+Salt Pop Up along with food writer/chef Christine Burns Rudalevige, she is working with The Robinhood Meeting House on Sea the Future, an August 2017 event highlighting underappreciated edible sea creatures in Georgetown as well a as a couple of guest chef dinners throughout the summer.
